The year the hockey player joined the crew, Jamie Hudson, off a family farm in Manitoba, Canada wanted to experience the Australian harvest before returning home. Started at Toobeah in Queensland and finished at Cumnock. Harvested 25,000 acres of good wheat that year.
"I was here for 1 month. Most exciting, intriguing month of my life. I've had the pleasure of experiencing the heart of the Australian outback, I've met nice people everywhere and have built lasting friendships, I also found out that Aussies don't like "foreigners" on their home territory....(ahh 101) In a month I've learned and seen more than most people dream of. I will never forget my time here and can't wait to come back again. Jamie"
